Guest guest
I have heard Zanaflex is supposed to help with this.... have you tried it? Flexeril is crap... at least through my experience..... rgw increase in muscle spasms.... please read I have noticed lately that muscle spasms are much more frequent. They don't really hurt they are just bothersome. I can just be sitting down or laying on the couch and all of the sudden some part of an arm or leg will just start that twitching under the skin. I can look at that spot and literally see the muscles moving. I take the flexeril but maybe not often enough. How many of you experience these kind of spasms? Guest guest
I have the deep down muscle spasams-cramps. I have to take perscription Quinine. If you can stomach tonic water (flavored anyway) it has quinine in it. drink 3 to 4 glasses a day and see if it helps you. My doctor had me do this but I couldn't get past the taste, even flovored. > > I have noticed lately that muscle spasms are much more frequent. They don't really hurt they are just bothersome. Guest guest
I have not tried the Zanaflex. I really don't take the flexeril often enough either. Like I said, it just seems they are more frequent than they use to be. They really don't hurt (though it seems they would). However, I guess if they get bad enough they will hurt. It is just wierd to lay there and watch muscles twitch under your skin like some alien life form has moved in. LOL. Thanks to all for responding Debra Rewa wrote: I have heard Zanaflex is supposed to help with this.... have you tried it? Guest guest
Hi, Debra! I've never had them hurt, just jump around a lot. Anywhere there's a muscle, it'll do it to me. Been doing it for the last six or seven years. I've even had my eyelids do it. I've pretty much run the gambit on muscle relaxants. They worked fine on the muscle cramps, but had no effect on the flutters. It is caused, I'm told, by rapid fire signals from the brain to the muscles. So it's not a form of cramping, it's more like turning a light switch off and on rapidly. My granddaughter saw it, and I told her it was from eating too many Mexican Jumping Beans. >:-P Quinine almost killed me, literally. I had no idea I was allergic to it, and took a small amount. When I came to a couple days later I was told it had stopped my heart and goobered up a couple other body systems. I still have a form of tinnitus from it that the DR's say is probably permanent. Like you say, they don't hurt, they just look funny! Hugs, LCB > > I have not tried the Zanaflex. I really don't take the flexeril often enough either. Guest guest
Debra, I would ask for a different muscle relaxer, that is what worked for me, this may help you a lot, I am praying for you, Deb R --- debra van ness wrote: > I have noticed lately that muscle spasms are much > more frequent. Guest guest
My rheum stopped my Soma and put me on Neurontin 300mg for muscle spasms and sleep. During the day I take Neurontin 100mg for them. He let me keep both doses for that. Debbie J > increase in muscle spasms.... please read > > > I have noticed lately that muscle spasms are much more frequent.
