Guest guest
<< Happy Mother's Day to everyone. If you have not talked to your mom recently, give her a call. >> This is always a bit of a difficult time for me. I lost my mother, very suddenly (she passed away in her sleep), three years ago (March 2001). This is my third Mother's Day without her. For the first Mother's Day, I treated myself to a weekend trip that I'd been wanting to take for a long time -- one that I think she would have definitely encouraged me to take (I visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland to see the three-level Lennon exhibit that was displayed at the HOF for approximately a year). I had been traveling back and forth from Pennsylvania every week (I was living in Philadelphia when she died) to New Jersey to visit my father and my aunt and run errands, do shopping, etc. for them, but that weekend, I told them that I didn't feel I could be there. I still miss her more than I can even adequately express. We had an extremely volatile relationship and we loved one another as much as we fought one another. Neither one of us made it easy for the other, and I am still attempting to confront and come to terms with so many things that I said and did that I regret, but I am a better person for knowing and loving her. I don't think I've ever known another person in my life who has loved me so selflessly and unconditionally. There is so much that I wish I could say to her; so much that I want to share with her about my life now. She always told me that if I wanted to go to school and ultimately earn my degree, that I would. It's a slow process, but I'm doing it. She always had a lot more faith in my ability than I did in myself. To all of the mothers on the list, I wish you the very best Mother's Day. To all the sons and daughters on the list, take not a moment you share with your mom for granted.

Guest guest
I'm so sorry. I know it is tough. I still have my Mom but I lost my Dad 10 years ago this June. Guest guest
I spoke with my mom today via phone (she lives in Pa and I live in KY). We (my sister and I) won't be seeing her tomorrow but will be going back home next week to spend a few days with her so we're her mothers' day present...it'll just be a little late. Guest guest
I'll second that! Everyone have a wonderful Mom's Day! My mom passed on in 1994 from diabetes complications. She was type 1. My brother, who also passed on a year later was type 2, my uncle is type 2 and I am type 2. I still have a sister who is doing fine and she is type 2. Ken GreyEagle -- Happy Mother's Day Happy Mother's Day to everyone. If you have not talked to your mom recently, give her a call. I will see my mom tomorrow. Later in the week, we will go to lunch together. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
I will 3rd it! Wow, your family sounds like mine. My mom had it, my sister, brother, grandma and several aunts all on my mom's side. Now it is my turn. All type two except my brother who is type one. What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.
