Guest guest
Thanks Dede so much for all your love and support. I'm so happy and peaceful when I'm with the horses. I'm not even sure how long my surgery was. I asked my husband to speak to the doctor about that stuff. There was no rupture (thank God). It was the huge hematoma that caused the swelling. The hematoma was definitely bad news. I don't want to see the my implants, capsules etc., even in pictures. I don't want my implants back at all. I have to really have to watch my stress level because I put myself into a tachychardia rhythm in recovery and they had to sedate me. I know there are some people on this board that would disagree with me but for the sake of my health, I need to put this behind me. I don't have the strength to do litigation or anything like that. My husband protected my choices and has seen that my wishes are carried out to the fullest. Not everybody has to agree with me, I'm okay with that. I had to handle this in what is my best interest. There's no right answer for everyone. One thing that must be remembered is the Canadian healthcare system and the way doctors are regulated are far different from the U.S. My ordeal (including the in home nursing care) was complately covered by OHIP. Therefore, it didn't cost me a cent. Dede, anytime you need me, I'm here for you. Just send me an e-mail. Guest guest
Lynn, This is really frustrating about your Dr... I hope that you will get to the bottom of this. It is sooooo frustrating! Terrible that you should have to experiment because they don't know what is really going on. I have been emailing with the Naturopathic Dr I found here and she said that she will do a full saliva and blood panel for all female hormones as well as thyroid and adrenals. I'm curious about what all these tests will show. It will be nice to have one Dr reviewing the results, rather than 3 that don't communicate. (I tried to look at my TSH last time I was at the GP and I though it said <0.78, but I'm not sure if I was reading properly).. I really hope you get some answers soon! Please let me know how your sister is doing after her surgery tomorrow. Katy:)Lynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: Dede, Doctor took more blood. Another thyroid panel. I doubt it will show much of a difference. I didn't take my synthroid today because I didn't want to be up all night again. He told me to start up again tomorrow. I will but I am only taking 1/2 a pill. I asked about 1/2 a pill and he said to take a full pill. I think I'll work my way up to a full pill. I know my body better than he does. He sort of said something that made me mad... you could tell he was frustrated that he hasn't been able to "cure" or "level me out" yet and got to looking at my records and said something to the effect that I have been been hypo. Well no shit! I have Hashimotos and not hypothyroidism yet (errr)... I may have to fire ANOTHER doctor. Plus, the assistants at his office DO NOT know how to properly draw blood. I used to be a medical assistant and I did phelbotomy all the time. They stab me and dig around. I am sorry but drawing blood should not hurt. I will let you know what the results are. I am also going to search for a new doctor. Love, Lynn Re: Girls, I have been in the hospital.........but home and a... Hello Lynn ~ Thank you. Guest guest
Hi Katy, I agree with you about 1 doctor vs. 3!! It gets so frustrating with so many doctors because each of them have a different theory and they usually don't agree. I am so happy you found 1 doctor. Sounds like the perfect doctor too! Your TSH is at a good level!! I hope it stays that way. I sure will let you all know about Gail. She is super positive about this and says she is ready to feel better and heal. I feel like I am more nervous than her - - I guess I need to take on her attitude. I have to start looking in to a new doctor. You know, I didn't take my synthryoid today and I actually feel better tonight! No thyroiditis - YET! Usually I have pain every night. I wonder if my Hashimotos is turning itself around now due to the explant. I can only pray and hope. I will let you know what my thyroid panel shows. Guest guest
Dede, Do you think your neighbor would have heard you if you hadn't been out mowing? . . . Maybe you need to work out an emergency alert system . . . or carry a cell phone so you can reacy 911. Hopefully the meds can stabilize your heart so it can do some healing and not have to work so hard. I would have love to have seen you at the hospital! . . . Guest guest
Read "How Doctors Think" . . . . In general, they decide what's wrong in the first 90 seconds, then spend the rest of the visit trying to verify it to themselves. . . . You must be prepared if you expect attention! It takes effort to break through the shell they carry around with them. Rogene Lynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: Lea, you are so sweet. Guest guest
Rogene ~ No one would have heard me if I had been inside. I am scared to move once I start getting the voltage. I was very fortunate that my neighbor was inside her garage when I was yelling. I didnt have much yell in me either, I was pretty weakened. 830 volts is alot and to get that many shocks 830 V each, kicks your butt ! It takes a bit for you to get your senses back ! The ems guys want me to go to their station and visit them, I guess with my heart like it is, they feel they will get to know me pretty good. They are only about 2 miles from me, if that. Since I will be on bedrest for at least the next 3 months, I wont be doing any more yard work, or even walking more than in my house....... I am not to go from hot to cold or cold to hot either. Very fragile my heart is right now ! So I will handle myself with kid gloves so I can get these toxic dump bags out, and get well ! ! I guess when I get better and am allowed to do things like mow, I will wear a fanny pack with water and my home phone in it.....I think I can dial up 911 after the shocks, I dont know if I could remember a whole numbe right after. It takes a bit to get your resources back after almost 5000 volts...LOL Do ya think it killed all bugs inside me? Wouldnt that be kewl.... Have you gotten rested up, and detoxed from your trip yet? I am so glad you had a fun trip, but so glad you are back ! Love you ~ DedeGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
Guest guest
Wow, Rogene that is alot of pics ! ! I was awake at 2 am as well. This new heart medicine can give you wild dreams. That it has ! ! It is very strange.....I remember one dream from sunday night, It was a sex dream, with a friend of mine, but old enough to be my kid ! and I dont think of him in that manner....... hum.........then last night was another sex dream........what is with this?? but it was a rape dream. Scarey as hell and I was scared to go back to sleep. The guy was as big as a sumo wrestler, he was all sweaty, and wearing these shorts that were all wet and nasty, and I had to fight him off. It was so vivid it seemed so real. I took my bp and it was 149/74...... so a dream actually scared me that much ! ! I hope I never have one of those again ! ! I hope you got to sleep in this morning ! Love you ! ! DedeGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
Guest guest
Katy ~ Good, I am glad you will be getting the records. Sometimes doctors have an attitude and think only they have intelligence. Just be firm in you wanting copies, and tell them it is your way of learning and being proactive in your health. I have found that having my records has saved me on many occasions, as well as given me things to look up and learn about, and in turn be able to have a list of questions. Guest guest
Traci, I think putting this behind you is one of the healthiest things you can do. I did that. I did not litigate and didn't allow myself to stay angry at my plastic surgeon or anyone else involved. Anger kills. It's just not healthy. I wanted my life back, as I had 4 kids and a husband who needed me. I know that there are some women who do litigate and I admire them for their tenacity and bravery to do so. I think that life is too short and we all need to be able to move forward and move on. We learn how to take care of our bodies and in the end, we are better people for going through this trial! I hope you are healing well! Patty > > > Traci ~ > > I am so glad you got to go see your babies ! I > > know they loved seeing you > > ! ! I am glad they used drains.
