Guest guest
Welcome Kim - You've lost 32 pounds since January 2001? That's fantastic! I'm sure you will enjoy this list. Post often and let us know how we can help in your new WOE (way of eating). -Marlena in DC 210/175/150 ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List To: Atkins_Support_List Subject: New to the list Date: Wed, 21 Feb 2001 07:56:51 -0800 (PST) Hi everyone! My name is Kim. I am new to the Atkins Support list. I have been spending the hour review what everyone sent around. This groups gives the support I am looking for. I have recent dropped 32lbs since January. Its been a long road but i am sticking to it this time. I have been heavy all my life and I would like to know what it feels like to weight 140lbs. I started at 259 and now I am 227. 140lbs may not be my ideal weight but i think i will know it when I get there. Thanks! Guest guest
I think you'll know it, too. I reached 150 2 years ago and was thrilled. I kept thinking I should go for 145, but kind of sabotaged myself with that thinking as I looked good and felt good at 150-155. I then had a baby and am back where I started, ugh, be he sure is worth it. I'll be thrilled to see 150's again, and it seems like we level out at a weight that is good for us. Guest guest
You know its so hard too because many people have asked me well what is your ideal? My answer is simply I don't know and I haven't ever been there. I have to be in a wedding in May and may hope is that I will look good in the bare all dress she picked out for use to wear as bridesmaids. So I am going to keep it up until i reach and then I will feel really accomplished. --- Sue Didier wrote: > I think you'll know it, too. I reached 150 2 years > ago and was thrilled. I dont have any complications that I know of yet and I would like to keep it that way if possible. Mona
Guest guest
The books that Kathy refers to are in the Books for Newbies section at the bottom of this post. (I can never rememeber the complete name of the Becker book either, smile). Guest guest
I think we discussed this right before you joined the list Mona...if you follow a lowcarb diet you can eat all the eggs and bacon you want and your cholesterol will normalize anyway. Will all you out there who have had this experience please speak up (again)? I know, it's hard to believe, Mona...but it's true.
