Guest guest
Lynda, I have had some seizure like episodes in my sleep. My boyfriend has told me about them. The other episodes are different, but I will consider this as a possibility. Not sure about any of it at this point, but hoping that it will eventually stop or at least I will gain some insight. Guest guest
Lynn, Thank you for the link to that website! I am going to spend some time reading it over. I am so happy to hear that you have not been experiencing the panic attacks since explant. That really is motivating for me! I am feeling better, having less tenderness in my stomach and my cold is going away. Trying to really focus my energy on healing and feeling good. I hope that this reaction to the thyroid meds will settle soon for you Lynn! Katy:)Lynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: Katy, I understand what you mean. There were times when I questioned if it was a panic attack or a heart attack. After having them so many times I came to realize I was having panic attacks. When I was having them regularly, I joined a Webmd board for people with anxiety. I rec'd so much support and advice. It helped me control them. This is a neat website that they recommeneded http://www.panicend.com/ - each time I would have an attack I would read this. It helped. However, I now know that I was really sick. I agree with , I think it has something to due with the adrenals - fight or flight response. I have learned many coping techniques but I agree with Rogene that there is something behind this that needs to be solved. I haven't had a full-blown attack since explant (knock on wood and thanks be to God). I did have some anxiety for a while, but it seems to be subsiding too. How are you feeling? Hugs, Lynn Re: panic attack? Hi Sue! I'm sooooo sorry to hear about your "episode". (That's what I started calling them). I get these attacks every so often, but have "mild" ones EVERY DAY. It's HORRIBLE. Mine started about 7 years after being implanted. After removal I have had one. This past one happened on my plane ride home from my honeymoon. Talk about embarrassing? ! We had to page the attendant. She brought about 8 bottles of water (I get suddenly thirsty). People next to me were really scared b/c they didn't know what was wrong. They gave me blankets but I wasn't cold. I just couldn't STOP shaking (It almost looked like I was convulsing from a seizure, but was completely coherent). I went to the ER about 1 1/2 years ago (about 3 in the morning) b/c of the same thing. They didn't know what to do. They gave me muscle relaxers (which I did NOT take), and told me to see a specialist in the morning! UGH! I STILL don't know what causes this. Only thing I can think of is my adrenal problems...adrenali ne? Who knows. I just know it's debilitating and tiring. My neck does not get stiff, but ALL of my joints tighten up. My heart will start beating fast, and I usually have the runs afterwards. SOOOOOO bizarre, I know. You're NOT alone! I don't know if this helps, but I hope that we can figure this out together! Guest guest
Katy, honey, I do not understand why Dr. Brown will not help you. He has taken Traci's implants out...this seems so unfare that he will not help you! Would you consider going back to him and ask why he will not do your surgery? I go for my ultrasound today, and I am anxious because they always treat me badly. We are not sure if our health care system would cover a mastoplexy, we really doubt that they will. They are to blame for my ugly breasts; however, they will never admit to that. Guest guest
Lea, I hope very much that your ultrasound goes well today. My last one was very thorough and lasted 2 hours!! There were 2 technicians and a Dr and it was one of my better experiences in medical imagery! As for Dr Brown, well I did go to see him twice, but because I have saline implants with no visible complications, he really was strongly advising me to leave them in.( I guess I had a really good augmentation and now no other surgeon wants to mess with a great boob job?!) When I was insisting I wanted them out, he reluctantly agreed but said he would not take the capsules (because they're saline) and would drain the implants first. I thought about going ahead in this manner, but am too scared of future problems and making more mistakes. Another factor is that I told Dr Brown that I thought my implants were connected to health problems. Traci did not and had other complications going on plus the double lumen implants. Dr Brown doesn't believe in implant illness so this was my first mistake. I could still go back to him, but I would have to have the surgery under his terms. Guest guest
Sue, I believe that panic attacks are all adrenal related. I wish so much that you didn't go through this! What is SEROXAT? Guest guest
Sue, The fact that your friend gets this and she didn't have implants points to the idea that breast implants cause the same types of malfunction of the endocrine system that other exposures do. Many things can make the adrenal glands, the thyroid, the whole endocrine system get screwed up, like chemical exposures, excessive stress, and even certain foods and other allergens. I wish I knew what to tell you girls, but I am not a doctor and the only thing I can urge you to do is to keep looking for answers through astute doctors, but if they don't help you, please try to help yourself with various therapies you can do at home! There are plenty of supportive things that can be done from home to help strengthen your endocrine system. But definitely get tested and find out where your levels are, keeping in mind that you want to treat symptoms, not numbers. I hope you both can get over this terrifying symptom. , have you had it since being pregnant? Guest guest
Lea, You are the sweetest person, and always show so much care and concern for everyone. I love you dearly too. We had a very wonderful and pleasant weekend, thank you for your well wishes. I see you worked too hard, dear Lea-- you need to take care of yourself! Maybe we need to send some boyscouts your way too! Be good and rest up. I hope you can schedule your capsule removal very, very soon. Love, Patty > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Just wanted to ask some advise. > > > > > > > > I had a major panic attack today (well I think it > > > was) > > > > > > > > For no reason at all I went really really dizzy I > > > couldn't stand > > > up without > > > > falling to the side. > > > > > > > > My neck was very tight and things only subsided > > > when I put a cold > > > pad on my > > > > neck and lied down for about an hour. > > > > > > > > It's not the first time this has happened. > > > > > > > > I was shaking like mad as though I was freezing. > > > > > > > > My friend has suggested I take SEROXAT. > > > > > > > > She has loads of the same symptoms as me and has > > > NEVER been near > > > silicone, > > > > do you think my probs could be more related to > > > panic attacks than > > > silicone? > > > > > > > > Thanks for any replies. > > > > > > > > Love Sue > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > __________________________________________________________ > > Answers - Got a question?
