I didn't know and did some research and found many answers to questions I have had about my own health lately. 2 months ago, my A1C blood results were 6.6 .. not great .. but not bad either. (A1C is a blood test that shows how well the body is handling the sugar in your blood over a long length of time, not just for the moment.) About 6 weeks ago, I found Splenda. I have been using it as my sweetener since then.. until now. I got the results from my A1C test from last week. The result: 8.6 !! Much worse!! Which means that without changing my diet .. other than adding Splenda .. my diabetes show as being out of control. So .. no more Splenda for me!! I take my packets wherever I go so I know I will have it for tea etc. If anyone finds splenda tabs I wanna know as well. It sounds like a great idea to me...I used the Nectasweet tabs before as well, and yeah Fran, they just 'ain't the same' any more. I can stand saccarin if I must...equal just gives me a headache. (I found it in the dollar store!) It keeps them fresh and clean, and, oh yeah, from spilling all over my purse. I mean, a powdery residue all over one's brush, checkbook, medicine bottles etc. etc looks rather bad. ( Hehe.) (No, I do not sniff Splenda!) Tam --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
