Guest guest
Well the rhuemy I went to says pain meds do not help fibro.. I beg to differ and especially when I have osteo arthritis.. I have this terrible pain on my right side from the osteo and I think part of it is fibro is so painful Bet -- Re: Rhuematologist I just wanted to add that my Rheumatologist is quite a drive away also.. If you do wind up getting any trigger point injections, steroid injections, etc. It may be necessary to find someone to drive you - or make arrangements to have the ability to sit and wait for a while before driving home... depending on the location you receive the injections. I had 8 trigger point injections (neck/shoulders) yesterday and drove home in rush hour traffic. I wouldn't recommend it.. yuk. I'm also not sure how most Rheumatologists work their schedules, but mine spends 1 hour + with me each time. Granted, I have alot of issues to work with.. generally get injections, medication changes, full checkup on my joints and such.. but you may want to be prepared for a long appointment. I must say, though.. Going to my Rheumy was the best thing I have ever done. I am still in horrid condition, but at least I have a MUCH greater understanding about what is happening to me. No other Doctor could inform me - including General Practitioners, Internists, Neurologists, Pain Specialists, etc. They basically just said I have alot going on. " Wow. Really? Guest guest
Guess she doesn't have Fibro huh? This one must not have a clue. I don't know what I would do without pain meds, I couldn't function. Guess I am lucky. Peggy Re: Rhuematologist I just wanted to add that my Rheumatologist is quite a drive away also..
