Your adrenal function looks really low. I would suggest getting the 4X

saliva cortisol testing done, btu you would need ot go off the adrenal

glandulars for at least 2 weeks for accurate testing. But wiht what oyu

have you NEED some cortisol help. I have not found the herbals and

natural remedies to be very much help. Most people simply need more

cortisol. And I have to question her use of potassium in a person with

adrenal faigue, most people wiht weak adrenals need sea salt as their

sodium levels will drop and taking potassium when you already most

liekly have loiwish sodium levels is a recipe for disaster. Have you had

thyroid antibodioes tested? If not that would be essential. Especially

taking iodine supplements. They can activate thyroid antobodies. and with

Epstein Barr you are a prime candidate for Hashimoto's Autoimmune

thyroid dsease.

Thank you for taking the time to go through this. I was wondering if

you had any links so I can print them out and take them to my doc

when I go?

Thanks,

Try losing the whey powder for a little while and see if you feel

better. Protein powders are highly processed foods. Maybe substitute

some almond meal, that gives you real protein and a good fat. What do

you eat on the toast?

What kind of mayo do you use? What are the ingredients in the veggie

chips? In particular what kind of oil is used?

You might try adding in some more good fats. Do you like coconut?

Fresh coconut or dried coconut (unsweetened) with some nuts makes a

great snack. While nursing you need to make sure that you and the

baby are getting enough fats and especially to make sure that they are

good fats. Your body will give the baby what it needs and leave you

lacking. I'd add in some good green veggies also. Have you ever

tried Bieler's Broth? Great for adrenals and no problem for the baby.

Also ask your ND about raw goat's milk kefir to use while you're nursing.

Linn,

Do you have a source for raw goat milk that will ship? I have only been

able to get organic raw cow's milk and cheese. I live in New Mexico.

I have been there many times. :) But no luck finding a raw milk

supplier who will ship! I haven't checked back in a while, though. So

I see there are others here into the raw milk. :) I think the grocery

store stuff doesn't even qualify as food, it's so altered and

denatured. It's so sad, really.

Now there's a thought, maybe I could just get my own personal goat!! Sure would

beat

having to drive into Houston to the Farmer's Market.

Thanks for the advice. I was wondering about the protein powders and

rice/almond milk. My ND said to use them but I saw on the WAP site

not to. It's all so confusing. If I use almond meal(which is just

ground up almonds right??), what would I use for the liquid?

For the toast I use organic butter. And I use regular mayo, but was

wondering what would be better? It has soybean oil. What do you

recommend? I have some coconut oil but dunno how to use it.

Thanks again,

I don't know if this is still the case, but spectrum used to make an

organic mayo w/o soy. I hate the stuff, so I don't ever buy it, but

you might check your local health food store and see if it's still soy

free.

I may have to buy some for chicken salad or something. Gawd do I hate

mayo. But on rare occasions a recipe calls for it and I really don't

want to use my husband's soy filled crap.

For liquid in smoothies or shakes you can use coconut or almond milk

if you're avoiding dairy, or you might try adding in some kefir, but

you have to hand mix kefir or you destroy the beneficial bacteria.

Regular mayo is just about as bad for you as margarine is, especially

made with soybean oil. I make mayo from scratch, but there are a few

organic mayos that are made with better ingredients. Regular mayo is

like liquid formica in your body.

You can use coconut oil in smoothies also. Coconut cream is even

tastier.
