Kate, you mustof been reading my mind. I was just logging in the post this recipe I tried over the weekend. It's an old family fav, only decarbed.

Carol's Goullash with Beans

1 1/4 lbs ground beef

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 Tbls measureable Splenda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp marjoram

1 1/2 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp celery salt

2 cans chopped tomatoes in juice

1 can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Brown hamburger with onions. Drain. In small bowl mix splenda and spices, add to hamburger. Add canned tomatoes and beans, heat 10-15 min or until very hot.

It's from a couple long-horns, so the meat is so lean we couldn't even get any roasts or many steaks out of them (not enough fat to cook properly), so we have TONS of ground beef. I'd love some new ideas on how to use it up. Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats.
