Guest guest
I'm sorry to burst you bubble, but flecainide eventually loses its' effectiveness. It doesn't completely control my afib now and I've been on it for only five weeks. I used to take it over eight years ago for the three years prior to 1996 and then went to betapace (sotalol) and then my electrophysiologist put me back on flecainide January 15th. It helps a little bit but not much. I have a Pulmonary Vein Ablation scheduled for Marth 9th. I have had afib for almost 33 years and it now has me debilitated. I have tried every kind of diet and health food supplements known to man and still no relief. I eat only fresh vegetables, nothing out of a can, everything is done to keep down the triggers of afib, but eventually it got to me. Besides all the medications I have taken have taken their toll on me to the point of making me feel bad with fatigue and weakness, etc.. Good luck, Glenn Flecainide Hi everyone, Just found your group, I live in England so some of the drug names etc are different to what I am used to. I have had af for about ten years. About 18 months ago I started 100mgs of flecainide twice a day which has stopped my attacks totally until last week when they started again. Has anybody has this happen and does it mean that I am heading towards 24/7 AF Best wishes Marguerita Backup web page - http://afibsupport.proboards23.com List owner: AFIBsupport-owner For help on how to use the group, including how to drive it via email, send a blank email to AFIBsupport-help Nothing in this message should be considered as medical advice, or should be acted upon without consultation with one's physician. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
