Iknow I have been getting all the right stuff plus water...(I have done

Phase 1 a few times and have been a beacher since Jan) I did have some

WW toast with PB this morning. It is just the achy feeling that makes me

think it is not detox but maybe something else.

Yeah, the SBD book highly recommends while you're on P1 to not exercise or

do it very little. Due to the detox efforts, your body won't have many

readily-available carbs for which to burn during exercise. Ignoring that

fact and continuing to exercise a lot will cause you to dip down on blood

sugar making you hypoglycemic and that isn't recommended for exactly those

reasons.

Amie, I agree with you about not cutting exercise for a diet--not going to do that, no way, love my exercise. I am going to try to do an hour walk today and if I can't make it through, then I'm going to go to phase 2. I can do a light 30 min. workout just fine, but anything intense--and my fav workouts are--I get lightheaded. So, phase 2 might be what I need to jump to. Thanks for the info, I just thought someone on here said before that the light headed thing was normal on this diet. I know better now.

if you are too low in carbs, you will be dizzy while working out. be careful because carbohydrate is needed for proper brain function, and it will spare that above all - meaning it will start taking from muscles and internal organs in order to spare brain function. so if you are lacking in carbohydrates, feelng dizzy could be a sign that your brain is as well - working out requires carbohydrates. which btw, are also required to burn fat. fat is like the fuel for low-intensity exercise, but carbohydrate is like the ignition that gets the car to start in the first place. if your exercise gets more intense, you need more carbohydrate.

I don't know if I believe in cutting back on exercise to support a diet - on the contrary, a diet should support your exercise - but that's just me!

I had some light headedness as well, but it was only during my workouts. I cut back to doing just 30 min. a day, and at the end I've been so dizzy I had to sit down! It seems to be lessening though, and I'm glad for that.
