Guest guest
Albert: Happy to hear that the flecainide is working for you as well. bid= 100mg twice daily. Basically, all of the major anti-arrhythmics require the usual 3 day hospital stay for observation and monitoring. This is especially because of their affinity for causing ventricular irregularities and serious other arrhythmias if the heart is not in peak shape at the onset of the med. The monitoring is most often done in the telemetry unit of the hospital. Best of Luck,
Guest guest
Bobby: GREAT!!! I only knew of 1 other patient on flecainide when I started 6/00 who had 4 years of sustained NSR. 7 yaers sounds even better. Thanks-
Guest guest
Flecainide works for me too. I went from afib 100% or the time to NSR with 150mg twice a day. For seven years and counting! I have been on 100 mg twice a day for about three week after cardioversion to NSR and it has enabled me to get back to running/walking in my marathon training. While in a-fib, I had switched to walking only. > >You used the term " " on 100mg bid " . Guest guest
Flecainide does not require a hospital stay unless there is heart disease present or it is being givin to a child. Tikosyn (dofetilide) requires hospitalizition because the dose has to be tweaked for the individual. There is a risk involved with these and any other drugs, but not to the extent that you would be hospitalized to start flecainide, unless you had a problem other than afib beforehand. joelap123@... wrote: >Albert: Happy to hear that the flecainide is working for you as well. bid= >100mg twice daily. Guest guest
It is more than advertised. I consider myself lucky. Plus it doesn't accumulate in the system and minimal side effects (visual only). I am lucky. joelap123@... wrote: >Bobby: GREAT!!!
