I would like you to remind me of why you suggested T3 only instead of Armour...I

know there was a good reason but I forgot so please remind me.

A) Because you tend towards high Cortisol. Adding more T4 to your system could

just cause RT3 to go higher which blocks the receptors that T3 needs to enter

the cells.

Also, why do high doses of Armour stress the adrenals...is it because of the T4

to T3 conversion or is it from the direct T3? Will Cynomel have the same

potential effect?

A) Raising thyroid uses up more cortisol as your metabolism comes up you use

more of most hormones, cortisol is just one that if you are nto able to make

enough thyroid can cause you to feel it VERY much as plenty of cortisol is

needed for the body to utilze thyroid properly. The higher the Armour dose, the

more strain (nto stress really) it puts on the adrenals to make enough cortisol

for the use of the thyroid hormones, thus if adnrals are weak, they can crash by

raising thyroid too quickly.

Furthermore, I don't see much on T3 only, just mostly adding T3 to T4. Please

remind me again why T3 only is a good idea for me.

A) see fist two answers. Basically your T4 is not that low but your body is

asking for more thyroid (T3 ) by raising your TSH so there is a problem with

conversion already or your body would just convert the T4 it has into the T3 it

needs and it si not doing that, so there is already a conversion issue. Probably

from high cortisol which makes the body favor conversion of T4 to RT3 rather

than T3. This can only make you feel worse. Taking JUST T3 gives your body the

active hormone it needs which will help push RT3 out of the receptors, and

utilize the excess cortisol you are making and lower the stress in your body

(from being hypo) that is causing the cortisol to be high in the first place.

Finally, dosing you suggested 12.5 mcg 2x per day. Should I start slower and

build it up?

A) You can if you want to but usually with high cortisol you can jump right in

to a 25mcg dose without an issue.

Thanks .  The only thing you didn't answer for me was the question about will Cynomel have the same effect that Armour would as far as stressing the adrenals.  THANKS A MILLION!!!!

If your adrenals are nto making enough cortisol, yes you could get

adrneal stress from even a small dose of T3.

I do nto think you willget negative resuklts from the feedbakc loop on

the doses we discussed.
