Guest guest
Vitamin C and REST. Having too little nutrients when exercising hard (which can happen on Phase 1) can break down your immune system further! -Amie From: Jeannine626@... So i woke up this morning day 2, phase 1 and I feel like i'm getting sick, sore throat, stuff nose-it's definitely the weather change hitting NYC. Usually, when I feel like this I go right for Tea with lemon and honey or halls and OJ/Apple Juice! What do you guys suggest I should take? I'm assuming vitamin c pills would be a good choice. I never realized how much sugar are in all these home remedies!! And I am sick quite often. has anyone else come down with a cold during phase 1? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Guest guest
Try tea and Splenda, it works for me. Some folks don't like Splenda in hot beverages though. -Sharon, NY

Guest guest
Jeanine, I get sick a lot, too. I also got a cold during P1. You can buy sugar free cough drops, and they work just as well. If you take cold medicines use the pills not the liquids since the liquids have sugar. I also drank Crystal Light Sunrise (tastes like Tang). It has lots of vitamin C and it made me feel like I was drinking OJ. I think that may just be a mental thing for me when I'm sick! LOL Also I use Vick's Vapor Rub, I rub it just under my nose for my stuffy noses! Hope that helps! B. in SC
