Focusing only on magnesium won't help because all electrolytes are important and work together. For example, magnesium is important for assimilating calcium. I take about 200 m.g. of magnesium supplement daily along with 1000 m.g. of calcium and potassium from food sources. I don't add salt to food, but most food sources contain adequate sodium cumulatively. A blood test last week showed that all levels are good. I think that I am staying in sinus most of the time because of many factors, including adequate electrolytes but mostly because of dropping dairy products. However, if my electrolytes were out of balance, probably my dairy-free diet would not keep me from afib. Staying in sinus requires balancing of many factors, including diet, lifestyle, and electrolytes. in sinus in Seattle
