Guest guest
My brother is the Chairman and owner of Starbucks and he knows and understands caffeine quite well. The caffeine in tea is NOT to be taken lately. I stay away from it having had both an a fib episode from it and having to be hospitalized after consuming it with a heart rate so high it could not be tracked by human hands.. My brother said TEA can be worse than coffee for some individuals. I do not go near anything other than CAFFEINE FREE herbal tea. So do be careful...... but also realize what is one trigger for one may not be for another. Personally, i stay away from all products with caffeine and anything that is a stimulant. -Ronnie Schultz
Guest guest
I've been reading the threads on caffeine in coffee for a few days now and I'm surprised that some of our senior members of this forum haven't mentioned chicory as a coffee substitute. It's caffeine free so you won't get the buzz but it sounds like a healthy alternative. I've never tried it, I gave up coffee in 1980, so I can't say how it tastes. Here's a link you might be interested in: http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/wildseed/23/23.1.html http://coffeetea.about.com/cs/coffeesubstitutes/a/chicory.htm Enjoy, P
Guest guest
Hi, I've been a lurker for the last two months. I love this group and all the wisdom I receive. I have been successful doing SB for the last 3 months, and have given up caffeine. I LOVED diet Snapples, and would have 2 - 3 a day. I wasn't sure I could give them up. But since I have, and for a few days I did have withdrawal headaches, I feel much better. No achy chest pains before that time of the month, less jittery as well. I would say really try it, perhaps between semesters. BEST OF LUCK!!!
