Well, on Sandi Sharp's advice I had my biopsy sent to a dermo for evaluation...though I neglected to remove the request "Rule out licen sclerosus or lichen planus".

Basically here's what was said:

Sections show a biopsy of stratified squamous mucose w/unremarkable epithelium. Within papillary dermis, a patchy mild perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate is seen with slight teleangiectasias - though at the very edge of the b iopsy a more moderate papillary dermal lymphocytic infiltrate is noted that abuts the overlying epithelium - although without basal vascuolization. The edge of an evolving focus of lichenoid inflammation cannote be entirely excluded, althought the charnges are NOT diagnostic in this current biopsy."

Can anybody tell me what this means in terms of do I pursue gyn resolution of this problem, or should I get myself into a dermatologist who can address this. I had the sample sent from my April biopsy - through the hospital where the doc I was seeing was practicing. That doc no longer practices at this hospital, so there is no doc to review with me what this means.

If anybody can translate, I'd love to hear it.

Regards

Dusty

Dear Dusty

I am getting my biopsy report sent

to me on Wednesday, I will see if it corresponds with yours at all. I am going to see a second Dermy on

Monday and taking the report to her for a second opinion.

Will keep you posted.

Kind regards

Mandy
