I tried the other day to explain to the manager for this service that these

were good for 6 months (CMN's) and because he thinks that he knows

everything, he said that no, that was Medicaid and PAN for such that was

good. I know that I was right, because F.E. had said something about CMN's

on here not too long ago and said they were good for 6 months.

They required us to get one everytime we pick up a patient from a N.H. going

to where ever. I'm not sure how they are getting payment for the dialysis

patients that are able to sit up in a wheelchair that we care by ambulance.

They don't have a W/C van, so they are carried by ambulance.

On the CMN they have us put things like Diaper, Peg-Tub, (L) AKA, Renal

Failure, decubitus and the stages. They are claiming that these things

require ambulance transport, when in some cases they do required ambulance

if they are truly bed-confined. But for the dialysis patients they may have

a BKA or AKA, but able to sit in a W/C.

The main office that does the billing is in another city, so no billing is

done at our office. So, I guess that we will see what happens after 4-1-02

when things change again.
