Most surgeons will just wrap your finger in tape during the surgery

if the ring wont come off. Just let the nurses in pre-op know about

the ring....

ok answer to the jewelry question.

It is best to remove all rings and metal from your body. We use electrocautery,

and although you are grounded, you can get a burn at the site of the metal.

THIS IS RARE!!! BUT CAN HAPPEN, That's the big reason.

The second reason is that your hands will swell and yes it might have to be cut

off. Sorry

Yes, it has to come off. You've tried soap and vegetable oil?

That's all I know to do.
