Thanks so much for all the welcomes. Since you all are generous enough to

encourage me to ask questions, you're gonna get what you asked for ; )

1) Is it regular/essential/important/necessary or not to have an

endocrinologist as well as a doctor, diabetes nurse, and diabetes educator?

2) My first impulse was to cut out nearly all carbs. But I'm sensing that

that might not be right, the idea is to find out what level of carbs is right

for you. Is that so?

Curiously yours,

vicky

Hello from a new member

Hello, everyone --

I'm new to the group and new to diabetes. Just got diagnosed on

Wednesday. Not surprisingly, I'm feeling mighty overwhelmed. I've

got a great dr, I've already got a test kit and I'm using it, I'm on

a low dose of glucatrol, I'm being set up with a diabetes educator.

And I have a million trillion questions, so I'm glad to find this

group, because even reading your posts is answering some of them. So

thanks for being here and I look forward to learning from all of you.

1. It is good to have one especially if your Dr doesn't specialize in

Diabetes

2. You must have carbs for energy!
