I feel like I've been in a state of suspended animation waiting for my appointment with Dr. Thayer. While I may not be posting I do read everything. I get so much strenth from your posts. You guys are like my surrogate family in this journey. So, I want to announce: I finally have a date, YIPPPEEEE!!!!!! My "re-birth" will be taking place at NWH, (Dr. Thayer), on September 19th. I am sooo excited. It will take about three weeks for the insurance stuff to go through, I am told, but Dr. Thayer told me not to worry about it. He thinks there will be no problem with my getting approved. Besides, I am most fortunate to have a PCP who is a staunch advocate of this surgery, so even if the insurance falls through initially, my doc is already prepared to write them a scathing letter.
