Guest guest
darin, that urso dose of yours, is that a total of 750mg? that wouldn't be considered high-dose, would it? i thought the post-tx benefit was immediately upon transplantation, and with high-dose urso. i had to wage a mighty battle to get the docs at jim's tx center to agree to up jim's dose of actigall... but jim derived no immediate post-tx benefit. but jim *is* on actigall post-tx. n fact, he's on what i consider a hefty dose. albeit the approval from his tx surgeon came only after i pushed & pushed & (*sigh*) pushed for it to happen. maureen -Anne - Pill reduction ....The last pill is Urso.I take 3 pills, 750 mg, a day as a therapeutic measure. Dr. Chapman wroteand article on the possible benefits of taking Urso post-tx, and Ivor'spost further supports that. And given that Urso seems to have an positiveaffect on reducing the risk of colon cancer, I have UC, my transplant teamwere all for it. I don't think there are too many other post-tx membersthat still take Urso. Only time will tell if it was beneficial, if at all...Darin
