When I retested I was terribly disappointed in my drop from 7.0 to a mere 6.9. The doc was ecstatic as was my dietician. Apparently the minute changes in the A1C are giant steps for us...my 0.1 drop is an equivilent to a 25% improvement! So yes, big congratulations are in order, you're doing something right! Anne-They told me to shoot for 5.0, the non-diabetic range...8.0 being the " do something about it " range.
