Good idea from Amie about cycling ph 2 for 2 weeks, then ph 1 for 1 week, again, again, again. I think would work great! *BUT* no oatmeal in Ph 1!!!!KrisRE: AmieYeah I'm doing great today! The thing with my mom's place is I'm going to bestaying there for about a week probably. I just need to be strong about it,carry the picture, and think about the goal. Like Covey says in TheSeven Habits of Highly Successful People, "Begin with the end in mind". I amnot going to focus on how fat I will be if I eat whatever is there. I'mgoing to focus on how good I will feel and look, and the times when I didweigh less and what THAT felt like, if I continue to eat healthfully. If Ido eat bad over Christmas, again I'm not going to think about thefat/calories it's putting on. I'm going think about how much more powerfulmy workouts will be with that extra energy powering me through them!I am sticking with SBD. I am doing my phase 1 now normally, then going intophase 2 for two weeks (crossed the holidays, too!) then I am going back intophase one for a week, then back to phase two for two weeks. You could gointo phase 1 for two weeks, but that would be more risking the metabolismslow-downs, I would say probably a week at a time for phase one would bebest. But everyone is different! Once I lose 7-8 more lbs, I'm staying onphase 2 because at that point I will have started marathon/triathlontraining and there's no way with phase 1 I can do that type of activity. Infact I might cycle phase 2 and phase 3 during that time in the same way. Myinitial goal is 7-8 lbs from where I am now, and the long term goal is 5 lbsless than that. So another words in my off-season, I want to weight 127-128and in-season 122-123.Phase 2 is pretty much like my diet before SBD as far as the foods you caneat, but I haven't looked at how much you can eat of things, so it might bedifferent in that way. -AmieReminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats. Crap. SOrry. I meant to send this to my house, not to the list.
