Guest guest
Hi All, I would like to ask for your prayers for a few people and a rough day today. This morning Curtis from Weatherford, Texas brought his elderly friend out to Mineral Wells State Park to go fishing. The elderly man had not been fishing in awhile and was wanting to go. The Lake is way up with the recent floods in the area. They went to the back of the lake and into the creek for hopefully better fishing. Soon 's pole went into the water, followed by him. turned to see what had happened and dove in after the man but was unable to reach him in the strong current. It is not known for sure if jumped in after his pole and had a heart attack or if he had a heart attack and fell overboard after dropping his pole. (We figure the latter) Search crews searched from early morning for the elderly man. I was called out to the lake to offer prayer and support to the rescue workers & divers in the effort. After hours of searching the shallower waters divers went into deeper waters. It was then around 3 PM this afternoon that they recovered 's body. Curtis also had to be taken to the hospital for Exposure, Exhaustion & Breakdown. When I last saw him he was taking it pretty hard and broke down crying and was loaded into the ambulance. And that was before 's body was recovered. I was there to pray with the Medics, Medical Examiner, Sheriffs & Divers that had taken participation in this effort. We prayed for the man's soul, ask that the Lord be with and ease his guilt so he realizes nothing he could have done it was not his fault, to be with the Families as they deal with this, also with the rescue workers as it always hard when it's a sad ending, Also we Thanked God that all rescue workers returned safe even in the torrent conditions. I ask that all of you also add these people to your prayer lists or light a candle or send thoughts (Whatever Your Belief System May Be). If able please send this on to your friends so we reach as many as possible. Thank You my dear friends & Family. God Bless Each Of You!
