Guest guest
Yeah, I believe " dry drunk " is one of the biggest piles of horseshit in the AA stable. One of the posters on the Delphi forum is a sort of unofficial AA historian. A while back he pointed out that in strict clinical terms, " dry drunk " only applies for the first month after a physically addicted alkie quits drinking. Basically, it's just the lingering jitters after a detox. " Dry drunk " is a myth someone in AA fabricated to sustain the notion that all alkies need the " spiritual awakening " after they've quit drinking. " So much crap they had to start another pile! " -- Mimi on " Drew Carey Show " > What about the term " dry drunk " . What a joke. I am nothing like I was > when I was drinking and am not craving. Just another ploy to get people > to keep coming back. > > .
