Guest guest
Read, read, read your labels. Sugar is in EVERYTHING! And it is bad for us! Cancers also feed off of sugar. Be aware!! ~Jennie ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Guest guest
I bought the book reversing Fibromyalgia.. Now I don't believe you can cure it but I think you can help it.. In this book he didn't say give up carbs.. But 70 percent carbs the rest protein and fat I think I think have to look at the book but of course sugar was out... It was a very interesting book gave me an idea what to look for.. Bet -- The carb attraction The first person I met with Fibromyalgia was a nice young woman who was working summer school like I was. She told me about it over lunch and how she was lost in a parking lot and had to call her husband to help her. Her Fibro fog was apparently flaring up. This was the one memory I have of her stories. This was the summer I call “the summer from He-double Hockey Sticks.” I was having seizures something fierce and the doctor kept upping my meds (turns out the wrong ones) and they were making my seizures worse. It was the summer after my mom, who I took care of for 16 years, passed away. Anyway the other thing I remember about what she said about Fibro was that she quit eating sweets and was doing so much better. This brings me to carbs and the diet I’m trying to be on. I’ve been really good so far today. I’m trying so hard to stay away from carbs and what I do eat of them, to make sure they are whole grain. This is no easy task, I must say. Also, I’m trying to stay away from sweets. This is even harder for me and my 10 sweet teeth. Lunch/dinner will be in less than 1 hour and I’m dyin’ here. Mike will be home from his first day of work (he got up at 2am) and it will be his dinner and my lunch. I must eat only a quarter of a veggie sandwich. I’m wondering if, along with the stress of our lives and the world we live in, that our diet isn’t also to blame for Fibro. I’m hearing others talk about carbs and how so many of us have weight problems. I LOVE my carbs! I’m fat! I have Fibro (and reactive hypoglycemia). So, I know I have to change and am hoping that maybe, just maybe it will affect my Fibro positively. I’m only sitting here writing because I must stay away from food until…hey, he’s home. Well, I must go and eat my ¼ sandwich. I’m allowed to eat very small portions every 2 to 3 hours. Gotta go! Hugs, Jane ************************************** Seems this is a probablem that a lot of us have.. I am a carb queen.. Love my carbs..
