There is also a condition called Clitoral Phimosis where the hood of the clitoris does not slide back and forth over the clitoris but instead is fused but it appears some women are born with this condition.....as myself. It was interesting when I went to see a vulvovaginal specialist not too long ago who specialized in female sexual dysfunction as well as Vulvodynia. He immediately dx me with clitoral phimosis and I became alarmed and said "What the hell is that? Is there something wrong with my clitoris?" He said it only presents a problem if I was having clitoral pain or having difficulty reaching orgasm - both of which I do not experience....thank God! My doctor basically said if the clitoral phimosis is not presenting any problems for the woman then its simply left alone and not treated...which is the case with me. So becareful ladies who try to poke a Q-Tip around up there. I wouldn't go forcing the clitoral hood if it doesn't move easily cause it may have been fused from the time you were born and you might need a minor surgical procedure to separate it. Just my 2 cents...

Re: Dee, "The Q-tip Twirl" :)

HI Suzy, ; )

'Normally' the shaft of the clitoris is supposed to slide back and forth, (as the prepuce skin does on a male penis) and you might/should be able to see the tip of the clitoris peeking out when pulled back. From what you're telling me if you've got that kind of pain it sure sounds to me like it may fused already. I think that kind of pain is one way to tell (not that it's always that either) but sounds like it might be.

Eventually mine even 'buckled' and 'bulged' inward, sort of like pulling off latex gloves and they turn inside out? If that makes sense and the pain was extreme even at the lightest touch. Not only that but it can cause smegma, sperm, lubrications, urine,

etc. to be trapped in there and that can cause bacterial infections and more pain.

Something most women forget to clean I'd suspect.

Anyway I'd sure try to get that loosened up if you can, (if it is) and I know what you mean and how it must hurt *sigh* but that 'may' be the exact reason you are having that pain. You might try laying a finger on each side of the clitoris shaft (on top) and make an up and down motion to see if it shifts or slides back and forth, and can you see the tip of the clitoris, or does it 'grab' everything and not slide independently...

I'm trying to think of how to explain using the Q-tip.. Think of U shape (except upside down) covering the clitoris (the little nub inside) ... when the Q-tip has the estrogen (a dab) on it, start at one side and then gently 'roll' or 'twirl' it up and over the clitoris and down the other side. Sort of like going over a speed bump. ; ) Eventually most of the Q-tip 'head' should be able to go in there up and over. ;)

That usually releases fairly fast (if you were to have that) and the pain relief is almost immediate once it's free. That's why I still do that 'twirl' twice a week as well with the E & T, to keep it movable and healthy.

One women said she had only a 'dimple' there hers was so fused, but she'd gently twirl there at the dimple with some slight pressure and was utterly amazed at how it quickly released, probably within a few weeks or so and her pain was gone and she'd suffered a long time with that not realizing what happened.

Hope it helps hon and it's probably clear as mud. ;)
