We used to be able to get Sugar Free Fat Free frozen yogurt from TCBY or

Can't Believe it's Yogurt, but they no longer exist anymore. Baskin

Robbins carries some sugar free choices, but they also have closed one

of their locations near us. Seems the only thing left is Dairy Queen but

it is only Low Fat. With all the Low Carb trends, what has happened to

all these places? It is going to be a rough summer with no place to go

for ice cream type products. I can only take so many of these No Sugar

Added grocery store items such as Popsicle brand products, they get

boring quickly.

I'm sure I've seen not only sugar-free ice cream, but yogurt, too. My

wife is a new T1 and our dietitian is giving her choices for each meal.

She definitely not T2 - she went from 110 -> 80 lbs so we have to be

strict to get her stabilized and ADD weight. Her first A1c was 17.2 -

well over 400 B/S avg. - Endo said she was days from ICU with Ketones.

Over the last three weeks in the beginning, she had many reading in

mid-high 5's. Of course, this was before dietition.

I will go by store and check here in houston, at least they still have a

sugar-free area - better hurry before they change to low-carb! Maybe I

can right down some ideas.

Hi ,

Once in awhile, hubby and I stop at a local owned ice cream shop. I have

found that I can get the kids size serving of regular ice cream with no problem.

You may want to try it to see what happens. We're all different.
