The nicotine is the only nightsahde alkaloid I'm still consuming. I'm down to 3 or 4 pieces a day. When I'm done with the nicotine I'll post results. Re: Nightshades I agree with Jane. If you don't believe they inhibit joint pain, then try going with out them for a week and see. I kept a food diary for two years and when I didn't eat nightshades I felt better, so why eat them and feel worse. Nightshades include tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, green and red bell peppers, banana pepers, chili peppers, sweet peppers, cayenne, paprika, pimento and Tabasco. If you don't at least try avoiding nightshades to see if it works for you, then don't complain when you are in pain.
