Guest guest
I am thinking of following the SBD, not so much for weight lose (33 M, 6 foot, 195, athletic build) but for improving my cholesterol, etc. I have been a semi vegitarian all my life, non-smoker, athletic. Since my first blood test 10 years ago, I have been perplexed why my #s are so high (Total 230-250, LDL 165, HDL 40, TRIs 200s). I tried all the conventional non fat diets, to little success. My father had by-pass at 55, so there is family history. I started taking 10mg Lipitor, after 10 years of diet failures. Although I have had a history of not much red meat, I have eaten many carbs, mostly refined, and dairy. My diet is not that great. I have been hearing that the SBD has been very successful on lipid profiles. Anyone have good results?
