>>If T3 is pooling in the blood due to HC dosage not being high enough, how long

after increasing HC does it take for the T3 to be absorbed and blood work to be

" accurate " again?<<

However long it takes for you to got to a proper dose of HC thne it wil go in

very suddenly and this is thr " Thyroid Dump " you hear people talking abotu. One

good thing abotu a thyroid dump, you then have a perfect indicator that you are

on ENOUGH HC.

>>I am now taking 35mg, Dr Peatfield has suggested 40mg, but i dont know if

this is my imagination but i feel a little more bloated - would hc do this.

My basal temp has risen and my day temps are steady at around 37.0-37.1 also

my sleep has improved.

Val, how would i raise to 40mg?<<

as your temps have risen adn you are stable, I would try to not raise the HC, it

can cause bloating. Often times the fluid retention of hypo is masked by low

adrenal function and becomes obvious when you start gettign the adrneals ell

again too. I would work on raising the T3 as long as you are not having adrenal

symptoms.

Hi Val,

Could you advise me please...i have been taking 35mg HC for a few days now,

and have noticed that when i stop to watch the tele or lie down in bed i feel a

little nausea? Is that too much Hc or not enough. As i said in my other posts

mood ok, energy ok, bloating more. Have just had a blood test that showed TSH

of 2.1, no t3 or t4 results even though i asked for them.

I dont take Armour yet as it brings me down emotionally.

What do you think?

Thanks Lynn x

Nausea is a symptom of LOW cortisol but cn be cause by taking it wrong! If you

take too much early in the day i can lower your evening and night time cortisol

too much as it lowers your ACTH so your own cortisl is not available to help at

all. How are you dosing it?

hours later.

late in the day and especially as i lie in bed, it happens about 10 minutes

after relaxing - sometimes i wait to take last dose at bedtime, sometimes not.

No nausea during the day unless i jog or something energentic which i do very

rarely as im very aware of giving my adrenals a rest. Exercixe can wait 4 now.

And is there any particular time of day you notice nausea? Is it in relation

to any of your doses?

What does that mean exactly....that taking a bedtime dose will lower

the NEED for the morning? Does it lower the ACTH for the morning?

Or does it mean you will need less HC the next morning? Will taking

too much at bedtime cause one to be tired in the AM? Or have

restless sleep at night?

Thanks.

Thanks so much, Val, for all this really helpful info. I posted on

another thread that by following your rec to cut back my AM dose, I

was able to cut my total dose by 5 mg and those low cortisol symptoms

in the evening still all went away. Now I have just cut back the AM

dose by 2.5 to wean off and it is working just fine. (Another of your

recommendations I found here on this forum.) Too bad my doctor didn't

know ANY of this. GRRHHH.
