Assuming that you get paid for all your hours, and that you have a pretty standard schedule, you can use the following formula: 3,328 (hours) X your regular (not overtime) hourly rate = your base annual salary. This accounts for the " scheduled overtime " that occurs with a 24/48 schedule. Obviously, it does not include unschedule overtime. The actual calculation is as follows: 24/48 personnel are scheduled for 2,912 hours per year; 2,080 at regular time (although some people say it's actually 2,076) and 832 hours at overtime. The 832 hours of overtime are the equivalent of 832 hours at " straight " time PLUS 416 (half) more hours to get the time-and-a-half effect. This (2,080 + 832 + 416) equals 3,328. This is not exact....there are a few hours above and below this amount for each shift, but it'll be within a few dollars per year of actualy salary. , BS, LP Director of Prehospital Services and White Hospital 2401 South 31st Street Temple, Texas 76508 voice fax
Guest guest
We work a 40 hour week. We get 8 hour of scheduled overtime on our " long " week. Also, we are only paid for 16 hours instead of the full 24 hours, unless we don't have that 5 hour down time. Any overtime is time and half. Is that enough information? --- " Mike , LP " wrote: > Depends. How does your provider structure overtime > pay?
