Guest guest
Well, it happened....again. I went into afib, accompanied by chest pain, shortness of breath Saturday night and went to the ER. I was cardioverted Monday morning. It was 2 months and 3 days since my last cardioversion. I've been taken off Sotalol, which wasn't working and making me feel terrible and put back on Amiodorone and Verapimil with close monitoring of my thyroid levels. My prayers were answered though as I was able to complete my 10 day Hawaiian cruise in November with no afib. Thank God. While at the hospital a cardiologist told me that my afib was probably going to become permanent. I told him I couldn't accept that and that if this new course of drug treatment didn't work that I was going to try Dofetilide/Tikosyn and then if that failed I was going to try an abaltion. P <nsr for 3 days and hoping.>
