Guest guest
Hi Mscured - I'm a mostly lurking member who is here in an effort to help my husband who was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago. He's been taking Betaseron shots every other day and has done extremely well - almost no progression of the disease until recently. In the past couple of months he's been experienceing what he calls " mental fogginess " and pressure in his head, confusion and cognitive problems. He's tried steroids, blood pressure medication and Neurontin, but none have helped. I'm wondering if he should see a neurologist? At my insistance he also had an MRI recently that showed no difference from the last one. No swelling or new lesions.Usually his symptoms go away after a few weeks, but this seems to be sticking around. My husband usually isn't very open to new research or alternative therapies. His approach is to go to the doctor and do what the doctor says. I'm very grateful that this group is here and would love to hear any suggestions or input that might help him. He is at a point where he might be more open to new therapies. Many thanks and best wishes to all of you,
