A little something about everything

Hello everyone,

I feel like I haven't posted in a while and so I'm sending a all-

inclusive posting...

First, I want to thank eveyone for all of your encouraging words when

we came back from Iowa with not-so-good news last week. It really

meant a lot. I've started to feel increasingly optimistic about

Sam's foot now. Even if he does have to have the tendon transfer, I

know it won't be as bad as it could have been without Dr. Ponseti.

Plus, if he does have to have it, it will be a year+ from now and I

just can't work myself up for a year about it. So, I'm just thankful

that my little boy's foot it straight for now and that he can start

walking just fine with it.

Next, , thank you for posting the link for the article on Dr.

Ponseti. I think it's wonderful that they are honoring him in this

way. It is very moving.

Jody, what adorable boys you have! Forgive my silly question, but

was that an outside field of blue bonnets? They were beautiful

also. Oh, I can't wit for things to bloom here. It's snowing here

today. UUGGH! At least it won't stick.

Clarissa, your little Judd is a cutie too. What a big boy!

Shanna, congrats on Zowie crawling! I bet your on your toes all the

time now chasing three kids around. WOW!

Well, we celebrated Sam's first birthday this past Saturday -- even

though it's not until Thur. The boy got so many toys, I almost feel

bad. The Lord only knows where we will put them all. We also went

down to Milwuakee this weekend and got Sam his first pair of Stride

Rite walkers -- even though he's not quite walking on his own yet.

All I can say about those is - Holy Cow are they expensive! I had

sticker shock when they told me the price. I knew they cost more

than other shoes but I had no idea. Well, I want the best for his

feet since they been through so much, so we'll deal with it for now.

But, I don't know if this is going to be a trend. Does anyone know

of any other brands that are good quality walking shoes that don't

have such a price tag? Just wondering...

There is much more on my mind, but I need to close for now. It

sounds like nap time is coming to an end. Take care eveyone!
