Guest guest Posted March 25, 2001 Report Share Posted March 25, 2001 I have been a zipperhead for almost 11 years now. I have a very difficult time with pain control. I am currently on fiorinal with codeine, dilaudid and oral demerol. That provides me with some measure of relief but I cannot seem to ever get rid of the pain in my head most days no matter what I take. I have had 2 decompression surgeries and a surgery to place a v p shunt. I am looking at the possibility of a third decompression surgery because of scar tissue formation. I have days I really get tired of having to deal with this illness. I work a full time job and take care of my husband (who has had bypass surgery) and my two sons. I must say though that God has been good to me and blessed me abundantly. I appreciate reading the messages from everyone that help me to keep in mind that I am not alone.
