Guest guest
Thanks , your information surely helps. Incidentally, I too am a chronic afibber, however, my afib was somewhat wilder and had me land in the ER were it was diagnosed with a h/r of 160/180. Since then I switched to a somewhat healthier lifestyle which improved my condition all around. I envy your 5 - 6 times / week of exercise. I will be happy with a 3 to 4 time cycle. According to my Cardio, Coreg is supposed to prevent the heart rate from spiking while exercising. Since you mentioned the possible temporary side effects, I will try to follow your example. Am glad you are doing well. / > I have not experienced any significant side effects...other than a little dizziness etc. when I first started with my meds... However, I don't know if I'm a good indicator... I was diagnosed as chronic AFibber 24 x 7 by pure accident upon going into my yearly physical this past July. Other than slighly high blood pressure 140+ over 85 + I never felt or experienced anything the likes of which I hear from the different members of our group. My primary physician put me on blood pressure meds, my cardiologist put me on coumadin and my EP put me Coreg.. Initially, I felt pretty bad (dizzy, confused, tired) but after exchanging emails with the group I learned that most of us have those initial reactions... I'm currently doing really well with the blood pressure, still stablizing with the coumadin and my average heart rate is usually in the mid 60's.. And I still exercise 5 - 6 times a week. Regarding the Coreg I take one 3.125mg tabs twice a day... > > Hopes this helps...
