Guest guest
I would second that recommendation for DfD; also, get DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETES SOLUTION. The author is a cardiologist who is himself diabetic; he tested everything in the book on himself and his patients. Re: Brand Spanking new...for The biggest suggestion on this list that we give for books is Diabetes for Dummies... don't laugh! It's a GREAT book and it's particularly good for newbies who feel overwhelmed. It gives friendly and straightforward answers to almost EVERY question without being too " medical " . Guest guest
Carol, The book of dummies may be right up our alley - spent the day a B & N and mostly found diets... She's gonna do good - I think, but she has lost a lot of weight - I'm not sure except - " Carb Count " and " Constant Carbs. " Hey add a little protein! She's just a tad different, not special and whose not quite sure what's g0oing on - or maybe knows herself better than all.... Man it overloaded me - I see it as a lifelong thing, where you should eat whether I'm there or not - before hey baby we going out to eat " tonight. " Maybe, I'm talking to much?!?...... & T1

Guest guest
No, it is a separate book and has nothing to do with " Diabetes for Dummies. " Dr. Bernstein is a cardiologist who is himself diabetic.
