Hi Everyone, We are just trying to make it day by day here and while I may

have a few moments of sanity I had a question some of you may know how to

answer...Approximately 2 weeks before Matty's death he began trying to clear

his throat..he had no apparent cold although his brother did. His breathing

did not seem affected until 24 hrs prior to Friday..the 12th that is...He

was eating fine and while his muscle tone and ability to sit independently

had diminished he could be propped...I guess my question is about autonomic

neuropathy and how seemingly quickly it seemed to send a child who was

walking and talking on April 1st into a downslide...an irreversible one at

that... Within 24 hrs his breathing was severely comprimised..no pnuemonia

on hospital xrays and heart looked fine...no one has or had an answer to

give us...Matty had some brainstem involvement that we believe ( but have

not been told ) had worsened..Could this involvement become so severe so

fast.? any input would be wonderful...I am drowning in grief and confusion

... I know this post is depressing and I am sorry...I have found much help

on this list over the past 11 months and hope you guys may have some

insights or questions I might ask....

Thanks in advance, A very sad mommy of a very special little angel..Matty.
