Hi Joyce, Splenda came on the market right after I was diagnosed. That is one reason I use it. I have never liked SweetNLow. It is a matter of choice, whatever you like. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
I think it's a teaspoon for teaspoon equivalent, for one thing. I haven't used it much yet either but I may start soon! Guest guest
Splenda for me, doesn't have the nasty aftertaste of Aspartame or saccrin. also dost cause as many health issues with me... like migraines. So, when possible, I use Splenda, and when I cant I use the others. As long as I don't over do it with the others, or even Splenda, I am fine. I tend to just not use many artificial sweeteners. I try to just eat normally, just in moderation. So, if I want to have Ice Cream, I don't eat the whole carton, just a serving. (this is usually 1/2 c.) If I want to bake cookies, I use all brown sugar, just lower the sugar ammt a bit. sometimes I will sub some of the sugar for splenda, but not all the time, since they just don't stay as moist. It is all personal preference Angelia in OR ----- Original Message ----- > I have seen Splenda mentioned quite often. Guest guest
Thanks for the all responses. I do like the SNLow, but it's nice to know there is something I can cook with. I tried making a pie once with Sugar Twin and it tasted terrible. I have used SNlow brown sugar in pumpkin pies and it worked great but I think I would prefer something that measures the same as sugar for cooking.
