Guest guest
Carole, I still find days when I fight to get up and out of bed. Just cant seem to wake up. Going to bed early for me isn't an option, I have too many things to get done!... lol Though many days, once I get moving and get my workout done, I have tons more energy and feel like I can conquer the world.. Then there are days when I don't feel better after my workout... Days when I am " hungry " all day, and my bg's are way too low, and days when I am not hungry, and my bg's are normal... Sometimes I wish I could lay down for a bit and sleep... though my 4 year old doesn't like that idea... Guest guest
Hi, I am extremely tired, and sleepy, and lethargic when my numbers are up. When I am eating right and my numbers are under control, I feel great. Kat

Guest guest
<< I've heard that hypothyroidism and diabetes frequently go together (not always, of course, or even usually), as the endocrine system is very inter-related. >> This is very true. I know that it's the case with me; I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1989, at age 24, and T1 diabetes in 1997, at age 31. I'm not sure if this is the case, but I've noticed that hypothyroidism seems to predominantly affect women as opposed to men. I've also heard that hypothyroidism is particularly a problem with not only women with diabetes, but women with Type 1 diabetes; there are certain aspects of thyroid disease that are considered auto- immune induced or related, and I wonder whether there's a connection, or a cause and effect sort of relationshiip, between the two. Pls go to your dr to find out what's going on so that > you can get this fatigue issue figured out.>>> Here's another medical condition that I had never heard of before a few days ago that's associated with tiredness. My brother, who does not have diabetes, just had his parathyroid removed this week. Presentation of symptoms was feeing tired all the time. The parathyroid apparently regulates how the body uses calcium. If the parathyroid goes haywire, calcium levels are way too high and fatigue occurs. His calcium levels are now back to normal and he's feeling better than he has in years. Tracie

Guest guest
Eunice, do you think the energy is because of the weight loss? This gives us all hope one here that we will feel much better with the lbs gone.. sussie -----Original Message----- From: ERWachter@... The only time I get tired/no energy is when I'm not busy. Hi Maralee, I don't have very many days like that either. My days are not always rush, rush, but I do try to stay busy. On those days that I don't do very much (weekends), I try to at least take a walk, even if it is only 10 minutes. hugs Eunice
