Guest guest
Well I blew it yesterday (Thanksgiving). I started out OK, just taking tastes of all the stuff I liked and a regular portion of skinless Turkey Breast, but then I was still hungry and went back for more sweet potato casserole and dressing, then had a small slice of cheese cake for dessert. Today I blew it again for lunch – Vietnamese lunch with Crispy Spring Rolls. Tonight I’m back on Track. V8 juice and ham and onion scrambled eggs. At least I stopped at the store on the way home and got lean roast beef, lean ham and Canadian bacon. I intend to cut back to P1 or P1.5 for a while till I get these last 3 that have turned into 4 lbs off once and for all! One of the problems I have is that there is so much Lo Carb stuff and Atkins Stuff in the Grocery store that keeps calling my name. I’ve started looking at the calories on their packaging and then when I see that, I put it back! But it’s sure tempting. Darlene
Guest guest
Thanks Darise, you made me feel better. Darlene Darlene - I blew it yesterday a bit myself. I started out just having turkey and sweet potatoes. That increased to dressing, deviled eggs, and potato salad. And cheesecake for dessert. (the cheesecake was SO GOOD). but you know, I came home and changed my clothes and went straight to my Nordic Track bike! I did that and some weights and well, I plan to weigh myself first thing Monday morning! LOL I am back on Phase 2 and doing ok.... :-) ( I think one or two " bad " meals a year is ok). Guest guest
I think we need to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner without guilt. That day is ALL about food..........and my kids and I look forward to it all year, and having the same traditional dishes I have always made. However, I notice that I don't enjoy mashed potatoes as much as I used to, now that I realize after all these years that they give me indigestion. (It's the blood type A thing, which I have also been SORT OF following for a couple of years...........just having to do with what "agrees" with my system or not.) I had a great dinner...........but did dishes until 3:00am........too bad that isn't considered exercise........haha!
