Guest guest
It pays to watch the 5 o'clock local news! Latest treatment is Botox injections. Botunism toxin. Used for our-kids or us for spasticity. I'm 45, but hadn't contemplated Botox injections in forehead that reduce wrinkles. Not unless we win lottery... Cosmetic treatment not usu. covered by ins. Oh well.... nobody went screaming away when they met me at conf.-- Interesting finding: Women who had Botox injections (needs to be repeated every 3 to 5 weeks) noticed improvement in their migraine headaches! Reduces frequency (how often they happen), reduces duration (how often they last) and reduces intensity! (how strong they are). Ah, but would it be covered by insurance? Many drugs have gained common usage for what started out as side-effects... minoxidol for high blood pressure/heart disease. Improves hair growth. Other drugs were origionally developed to treat migraines, had undesirable side-effects... Lysegic Acid Diempheminate (sp?) turned out to be LSD... Hmmmm, Dr. Boles, do ya think Botox injections could work for cyclic vomiting? Sure would save on the cost of a tummy-tuck.... Here's to a safe Independence day.... , , and Staci Echert
