Guest guest
Thursday, July 14, 2005 3:49 PM CDT We've been busy the last few days! We've taken a day trip to Luray Caverns and Noah has started swim lessons. Even with the nagging cold that I've been fighting for over three weeks, we're starting to enjoy life without PSC... Today was my clinic day. We haven't made any new changes in my meds - I'm to stick with Augmentin for the chest cold. With nebulizer treatments, the congestion appears to be getting some better. I'm not home to get my phone call about labs right now, so I'm not sure how they turned out. Mike is disappointed that he'll have to wait until labor day to get on a roller coaster, but when he learned that the consequences could be a herniation of the incision, he decided not to worry about it. (To correct a herniation, they have to do another surgery and the biggest complication risk is a small bowel obstruction - something he's already done and NEVER wants to do again!) I did get cleared to swim and take tub baths which makes me very happy. Calgon - take me away! I'm using my folks' computer to author this because ours is very sick. I'm hoping to order a new PC in the next couple of days. So, for everyone who isn't hearing from me on email - you know why! Hope you're all having a good summer! Love, PS - Well, it looks like I overdid it again. Tomorrow, I'll be having a biopsy to determine if my latest jump in numbers is rejection. (My AST & ALT in the 100's and bili up to 1.4 - the coordinator didn't have my chart in front of her when she called from home.) Since it is Friday, I'm to report to G'Town at 8:30 a.m. to find out when Dr. Shetty can fit me in for torture, ooops, I mean biopsy. :-) I say that with a smile on my face, knowing that tomorrow will involve lots of pain again. Noah is going to spend the night here in Culpeper with my parents. Given the computer situation, I'm not sure when this will be updated. I apologize for worrying everyone, but I wouldn't mind a few more prayers going up on my behalf.
