I found you on the internet. I did a search on AFIB and there you were.

One problem that I have with doctors is that some of them do things that

are convenient for them and not necessarily the best thing for the

patient. In the past few months I have switched mostly to doctors that

teach in The Baylor College of Medicine. I am pleased with the better

quality of service and better work ups.

I did a yahoo search and found this. I am in the Bay Area in

California. Was in NSR for two years, now in afib all the time.

Having ablation by Dr. Natale in March.

I found you from a yahoo search. I was just diagnosed with AFIB the

beginning of this month. Being new to this, I am just realizing how

many episodes of AFIB I have daily (roughly seven to ten). I always

use to think the jumping and moving around in my chest was normal

until it got harder.... I have an echo exam tomorrow and will find

out more (I hope). For this time period I have been taking daily 180

mg of tilazem and 81 mg of ecotrin. I thought it would control my

episodes, but it hasn't.

I searched on Google and found the group after I was diagnosed with

Atrial Flutter a couple weeks ago. You doctor only tells you so

much, I learned much more about AF here. Glad to see I'm not alone

in this and the hope that others have to rid ourselves of this.

Greetings Ellen from the Isle of Man!

I found you when trawling the net. It is very interesting to read the posts

from other members of our elite club! It makes me realise too that I am not

alone with my funny heartbeat. I was beginning to think I was! Nobody I spoke

to about it had even heard of it. Of course I do live on a verysmall Island but

there must be others like me. I can also appreciate that I am not as bad as a

lot of your members.

Whilst writing may I wish you the very best for Christmas and the New Year - a

healthier one for all of us!

God bless us everyone.

Shirley.

Eileen:

When did you have your initial consultation with Dr. Natale? How long

will the wait have been from initial consultation to when you get the

procedure done in March? Did he (they) tell you how many people are

on the waiting list?

Hi Ellen.

I am sorry that you have had to have a stent. I do believe

that you story is important to the group it may be

interesting to the other patient if you can share your story.
