Guest guest
I left the rooms last week after two tours of 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 years. Over the past week while walking in my densely populated neighborhood, I see or pass steppers in the streets and wish y could beam me up. I feel like a criminal. Good luck to all...I hope someday society will get a clearer picture of what AA is and is not.
Guest guest
Welcome Jim & congratulations. Here's a story for you: My AA bf went to see Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young the other night in Philly with a bunch of his program pals. They all would fall under the category of critical of AA but still crediting it for their success and important for their future sobriety. [WHAT-ever] They have no mercy on some of the characters in the rooms, however. So, they overheard a couple next to them, the woman was drinking, and the guy said " Oh I don't drink, haven't touched the stuff in five years " . So of course, someone said to the guy - " do you go to meetings? " He replied " Hell no, those people are ASSHOLES! " , to which my bf & his buddies simply said " we know what you mean, man " So nice to see the message spreading > ______________________________________________________
