Guest guest
the holidays are hard for those reasons - plus all the bad food around. maybe just think about starting anew rather than beating yourself up about what went wrong! You've lost 25 lbs so just keep thinking about that, and the way you want to look/feel in the end of it all!-Amie From: Tinkerbell Sent: Friday, December 10, 2004 8:58 PMTo: South-Beach-Diet-Getting-It-Right Subject: Re: Bad Day Alice, I understand exactly how you feel. I feel pretty lonely too, my entire family is in another country. Big Hug. Just take things one day at a time. Maybe set yourself to start Jan 1st? Tink> Dawn...> Sorry to hear about your bad day..!! I have had countless bad food days since Thanksgiving. Everytime I think I am back on track I just screw up remembering the Apple Fritters and Banana Cream pie available just around the corner. Then I go for it and.well.... you know the drill. I had lost 25 lbs. on SBD but haven't gotten back on the scale since screwing up at Thanksgiving and ever since. Sorry to be such a bummer to everyone but I thought by hopping on and declaring all of this... I might wake up and turn things around. I tend to feel lonely during the holidays and I suppose I use food to feed my loneliness... but the subsequent extra padding it provides leaves me feeling MORE lonely... > > - Lonely Alice> Bad Day> > > > Blood sugar way low nothing to eat most the day. Guest guest
There must be a better job waiting for you! Here's something I recently read that I feel might relate to your situation: I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life." I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back. Do what you have to do over the weekend Dawn and then Monday take one of your catcher's mitt's off! Big Hug's, Kerry Half-hearted effort will get you absolutely nowhere in life—you must have a zest, a love, a passion for what is important to you!
