Guest guest
Dear Barb,It is interesting that while most PSC patients have the too big spleen problem, my son has the opposite, a spleen that is almost not there. LeeHi Aubrey, Ken’s spleen is now 32cm, while his liver is 15cm. Ken’s spleen is squashing his kidney and flattening it out. His stomach is extended, not so much by ascites (although he has some), but by this spleen and it really has become uncomfortable for him. I know after transplant, his spleen will return to it’s normal size, but I’m wondering if there will come a time when his spleen stops growing before transplant? Or, can it grow even bigger than it is now? Thanks for your response, Barb in Texas - son Ken (31) UC 91 PSC
