Guest guest
It is all about the sugar. -Beth grapefruit I realize grapefruit is a fruit and no fruits during phase 1. However, grapefruit has always been known to be very diet friendly. I suppose not if you pile it with sugar, but not everyone does. I'm having major problems with the no fruit thing. I am a fruit lover. Anyone else have similar problems?TIA Prayer Advocate A Christian is a human, just like you. They breathe, eat, walk and talk, and make mistakes. If they were perfect, they wouldn't need Jesus. http://stores.ebay.com/yarntalessaletique Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Guest guest
Yes I am back on P1 and I miss my fruit too. I miss apples and grapefruit and strawberries and blueberries etc - BUT its only for 2 weeks. Dr. Agatston explains that the purpose of Phase 1 isn't rapid weight loss, but to normalize blood sugar and get rid of cravings. And to stay on it for more than two weeks (or a month if you have a large amount of weight to lose or if cravings are persisting past the first one to two weeks of Phase 1) that there is a risk of lowering your metabolism and yo-yo dieting. So I'll patiently wait for my fruit. I guess weighing it all up (pun intended) I want to lose this weight so much that I can live without fruit for a couple of days. Guest guest
Yep. I am missing my daily apple. It is only two weeks though. I am coming to the end of my first week and I see the benifits. Minus the shakes from being cold and going through the sugar with drawels. I think though I will be all the better for it. Can't wait to have my apple back though/ Dawnn > I realize grapefruit is a fruit and no fruits during phase 1. > However, grapefruit has always been known to be very diet friendly. > I suppose not if you pile it with sugar, but not everyone does. > > I'm having major problems with the no fruit thing.
